It was World Book Day on Thursday 4 March and the junior department celebrated books and reading throughout the week by taking part in a number of activities with a literary theme.

Our very own school admissions officer and master storyteller, Miss Anna Fancett, (who is Secretary to the Grampian Association of Storytellers), delighted our girls with her wonderfully animated stories during morning assembly.

The week culminated in a grand parade in which our junior staff and girls dressed as characters from their favourite books. There were lots of exciting characters and costumes on parade, including Sherlock Holmes, Mary Poppins, Robin Hood, Snow White, the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland and even Alice herself!
