HOW YOU CAN HELP US

Please download our FUND RAISING BROCHURE. There are a number of ways you can give to St Margaret’s School for Girls, and every donation will help make a difference.

LEGACIES

Whether you already have a will or are planning to create one soon, you may wish to consider leaving a legacy to St Margaret’s from your estate. By your naming of the school as a beneficiary, current and future generations of pupils will benefit from your generosity. Anyone who would like more information on giving through a legacy should contact the Development Office at St Margaret’s on 01224 595189.

‘GIFTS’

You may wish instead to make a one-off or regular donation to St Margaret’s School for Girls. A £50 donation every month represents £12,000 over 20 years. Please download the gift form and return with your cheque.

BURSARIES

We believe any child with potential should be able to benefit from a St Margaret’s education, and we currently provide a number of bursaries based on academic potential and financial need. Our most important asset at St Margaret’s is our girls, and, through the provision of bursaries, we can ensure that we promote diversity and inclusion. We offer a number of different bursaries:
 
• one for the sixth year
• one for the fifth and sixth year
• several which run from 6 and 7 Junior and I Senior.

With your help, we can extend our existing bursary scheme and allow more girls to benefit from an excellent education.

TAX BENEFITS

The value of your donation can be increased by 28.2%* if you use Gift Aid: i.e., for every £100 donated by a UK taxpayer, St Margaret’s would receive £128.

If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can claim the difference between the higher rate and the basic rate on your Self Assessment return, which means you can give even more.
