Choral Club was invited to take part in a recording for a programme called Christmas Songbook, which will be shown on STV on Christmas Day. This was a great opportunity for us and everyone was very excited.
We prepared by taking part in a masterclass led by a choir conductor called Mrs Cowie. She has lots of experience and helped us by doing various fun warm up exercises and telling us what to focus on in our songs. For example, pronouncing our t’s and p’s and better pronunciation of other words too. We felt that this was an amazing opportunity to help us improve our singing. We loved every minute of it.

On 15th of November we walked to St Mark’s Church to record our songs. We felt excited, nervous and happy to be taking part. The songs we had prepared were: Trot Little Donkey and The Season of Christmas. Each song we had to sing twice, once for practice then to record. They had 3 cameras set up and lots of microphones. The crew were very friendly and encouraging.

We are looking forward to seeing St Margaret’s on television on Christmas Day. Closer to the time Mrs Wightman will find out exactly what time it will be on television and will let everyone know, so don’t forget to tune in!
