St Margaret’s Gets into the Christmas Spirit with Charlie House’s Festive Fun Run

We are very excited to announce that St Margaret’s has been chosen as the location from which this year’s Charlie House Santa Run will start!

Several hundred runners are expected to sign up for the local charity’s second annual fun run, which takes place on Sunday, November 24, prior to the switching on of the Christmas lights on Union Street.

Runners will register in the St Margaret’s hall, between 3pm and 4.45pm, where they will each pick up a Santa suit, running number and finishers’ medal.

The run is from Holburn Street to the Castlegate and it must be run or walked within 30 minutes. It is open to all ages and abilities, including wheelchair users.

Charlie House was set up in 2011 to help make life better for babies, children and young people who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and to support their parents, brothers and sisters, and all those who love them.

Through the generosity of others, they have been able to develop and grow projects to support those families when they are needed most, and we are delighted to be able to work alongside them.
