A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Movember Millions challenge. As a result of our teamwork across the St Margaret’s community we reached the amazing total of 37,729,746 million steps, far exceeding our 30 million target, and a great example of our #stmargaretstogether spirit.
It was a very, very close race between the three houses with the final results being:
Kildrummy - 12,661,227
Dunnottar - 12,614,319
Crathes - 12,454,200
Inspired by how the combined efforts of the whole school community allowed us to retain our sense of togetherness during our school building closure in the summer term of this last session, we launched our initiative on Sunday 1st November to continue to demonstrate our #stmargaretstogether determination and lift our spirits as we entered the colder, darker winter months. Our “St Margaret’s Movember Millions” walking challenge involved every member of the school community and we have been delighted that so many of our pupils and wider school community have come together to get involved.
Our aim was to raise money for two worthy causes, nominated by our VIS girls, in the process. We are delighted to have raised vital funds for Mental Health Aberdeen and Plan International.
Now that the challenge is over, of course we encourage everyone to keep up those healthy habits and daily walks as we move forward into the festive season!
