Former pupil is finalist in BBC Countryfile Young Countryside Champion 2021

Former pupil, Nicola Wordie, from the class of 2016, is a finalist in the BBC Countryfile Young Countryside Champion 2021.

Nicola left school in 2015 after V Senior to pursue an HND in Agriculture at the Scottish Rural College (SRUC).

After spending some time working on farms in New Zealand, Nicola returned to Scotland to work on her family farm near Huntly. She farms cattle and sheep, and a handful of pigs. The farm also grows a small amount of barley for the whisky industry.

Nicola's story will be shown on Countryfile on Sunday 3rd October 2021, and the winner of the Young Countryside Champion will be announced on the 24th October.
